Stocking Report: March 9, 2026.

Dear Club Members and Guests

On Friday March 6th, we stocked a TROUT CLUB RECORD 1500 fish both in the stream and the pond in the valley. The trout consisted of Rainbows and Brooks: 12 to 15 inches, the above average size was 16 to 18 inches.

With the smaller size trout this month, the subliminal program will get cranked up more the next 3 months to get bigger sizes.

Fly Rod Chronicles with Curtis Fleming will be airing this week their latest episode at YCTI. MARCH 10th through 14th.

Stocking Report: February 15, 2026.

Dear Club Members and Guests

On Friday, February 13th, we stocked near 300 fish in the stream. The trout consisted all Rainbows: 50% Average size 15 to 16 inches. The other 50% were 20 to 26 inches, in the 5 to 9 lbs weight class.

Then on Saturday, February 14th, we stocked 140 fish in the stream. 50% Tigers from 14 to 18 inches. Then the other half were Rainbows and Browns 18 to 24 inches, with a 4 to 8 lbs weight class.

Stocking Report: October 5th, 2025.

Dear Club Members and Guests

On Friday October 3th, we stocked over 700 fish in the stream. The trout consisted of all rainbows 14 to 20 inches, with a 2 to 4 lbs averages.

YCTI will be trying to work on numbers of trout in stockings due to the major drought we experienced this past summer.

The South 6th street, Route 954 bridge has opened back up for traveling usage.

Sunday, August 17th, 2025. Update

The Yellow Creek Trout Club, Inc will be closed Monday and Tuesday, August 18th & 19th for a Black Top Sealing Project. The club will be back open on Wednesday the 20th. Thank you for your cooperation.

Important Message: Travelers to YCTI

Dear Members and Guests:

On Monday, June 9th, 2025. 6th Street Bridge, Route 954 where Yellow Creek flows under will be closed for repairs/ replacement. This project will take all summer, according to the local news is that the bridge will be reopened by October 2025.

For Members and Guests from SW PENNSYLVANIA: Pittsburgh area, North Eastern Ohio and Western New York: you can still travel US 422 East, then take US 119 South towards Homer City, then take US 56 East to Brush Valley to get to YCTI.

If you need assistance, contact me by phone for traveling details.

I’ll be putting another update in October 2025 and the restarting of the Fall stocking program. Have a great summer!!!

Stocking Report: May 4, 2025.

Dear Club Members and Guests

On Thursday May 1st, we stocked 500 fish in the stream. The trout consisted of rainbows: 15 to 16 inches. The larger rainbows: 20 to 24 inches at 4 to 5 lbs. We also stocked a decent number of GOLDS in the 14 to 16 inch class.

Stocking Report: April 4, 2025.

Dear Club Members and Guests

On Wednesday April 2nd we stocked 800 fish AGAIN in the stream. The trout consisted of rainbows: 15 to 16 inches, Brooks: 14 to 16 inches. The larger “MEGAS” rainbows: 5 to 7 lbs. and all the Brown trout were 18 to 24 inches, some in the 5 to 8 lbs class.
The pond in the valley also received fresh trout the last 2 months, over 100 fish total.

ATTENTION MEMBERS AND YOUR GUESTS!

The weekend of Saturday April 26th and Sunday April 27th will be open for normal weekend trips, the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
event was canceled and will not be rescheduled.

On Friday, May 2nd will be the annual Allegheny Kiski Health Foundation trophy trout event. We are looking for volunteers to help judge for the event. Contact John Pastorek @ 724-316-0667 for details. The club will be closed for this event.
